Convinced the wifey that we needed a 2nd car. Bought a fanastic 530d M Sport 2 weeks ago. While I love this car like a son we could easily manage without it, apart from the 220mile journey the day I bought it, it's been sitting on the drive (apart from the supermarket run)
Should I have held onto the money? Probably. But it's truley a special car and it's staying..

My Ride: 2004 545i - Bone stock... help!
I think it's cool that your willing to post that your dad is willing to buy you a car such as a BMW. But what it really shows is that you are responsible, and not a spoiled brat like some I have seen on BimmerForums. (Never on e60.net btw) Braging about their car, and how they are only 17 and blah blah.
Although I have no idea how old you are, it really doesn't matter, as long as you feel you are responsible enough to take on this privilege to own one, and you obviously already proved that to your dad, then I think you deserve it. and to get it over with, no you don't need it... but guess what, you will never be as happy with any other car that is cheaper than a BMW guaranteed.
This is a great opportunity for you. Take it, and don't look back. Appreciate it every day, and guaranteed no other car will make you as happy as this one will.
