Yeah, I've heard the noise more than a few times... I just started to ignore it as a normal noise because I hear it so frequently. I sounds like a fan or some type of hum.

I also hear the dash noises...I know in my other car and truck the noise I hear is the cd continuing to spin after the ignition is shut off...I wonder if it is the same?? The other noise I hear from the exterior is not like a dog whistle but a ratcheting grind - it's rather loud!? I noticed it started happening only when I had the computer upgraded.
