2005 here with only 12,400 miles! Yes, you read correctly. Was the family's weekend fun car only on numerous short trips all these years and still is. Very well maintained of course, always garaged and never even rained on.

Still in showroom condition and drives like a top of course. She's a keeper until Tesla introduces their next generation Tesla S sports sedan! Oh yeah!!

Bought an '07 530i 3 years ago with 15,000 miles.

Wife drives it 130 miles/day and 5 days/week, back and forth to dental school and has managed to put close to 70,000 miles in little over 3 yrs.

Currently is at 83,000 trouble free miles

I don't think we have had any issues besides having few bent wheels. Car drives like a champ and never misses a beat.

That's one sweet Ride there you have! Checked out the Tesla S. Only one gear! 4 second 60mph! Have you seen these any where? Think the recharge for battery maybe improved for long distance runs? Got the Motor Trend car of Year in 2013. Its the Future as soon as Gas Companies get in on it.

Sure have! Here in the San Francisco bay area, we see very regular sightings of Tesla S's. Especially true in high tech silicone valley, San Jose and San Francisco of course where it is 'chic' to own and be seen of course in the hottest, latest and greatest. did I say trend, if you will.

And you're spot on with regards to the S's overall performance. Absolutely quick as lightening, with NO power lag or hesitation during hard acceleration whatsoever. And with it's current range of around 250 miles before requiring a full charge, the future bodes well with even better emerging technologies which will certainly extend this driving range.

Tesla has already built numerous supercharger stations across the U.S. for their electric rides, as part of their 5 year plan to saturate the market with this viable alternative and make it to the point, where consumers wouldn't have to think twice about driving range issues or inconvenience in recharging when driving long distances.

Plus, the charge is completely FREE for LIFE for Tesla owners. Anyway, great potential and prospect indeed. It can only get better and I'm following this sector very closely.

And who knows. Just may cut over in due time. But first, there's the current matter of just thoroughly enjoying my very sweet Dinan 5er - a fabulous ride in her own right for sure!!

BMW I8 is coming. Don't know when here in states? Checked the east Coast Super Charge Stations. Seem limited. The wheels need to spin to get the Tesla going! 2014 am sure will get the Stations.
Here is I8 info.
