How does one find out which CIP update they have? After reading this thread, I noticed my brow lights and side LED's are not working either. I had the SZL recall done about 2 months ago, and I had an ipod update done about two weeks ago. I usually leave the lights on auto, so I guess that is why I haven't noticed it.

I think you guys should be OK, I took delivery on Nov. 14th (build Oct. 12th) and quite nervous w/ the CIP version 'cuz if the latest I might have no eyebrows but the CA have no clue and couldn't tell me the version.

Are the lights going to work properly on a new production car or are they getting broken software from the factory? (Car produced yesterday)
I'm wondering the same thing, my car was produced a week ago [/quote]

But all my lights are working fine ('brows, angel eyes and LEDs). Hmmm.
You probably have 23.01. The issue with the eyebrows is occuring with 23.02

Katheikia, I have the opposite experience. Bootup, bluetooth and general response is improved by comparison to my previous CIP19..

Current one is 23.02.

I have 20.0 CIP and I have no problem at all (except once a month radio talking when I switch off, sufficient to switch on again and off).
Nav, BT, MP3, angel eyes, etc. : all is working fine.
In your experience what are the improvements of new releases 21,22,23 ?
Are those improvements related to Steptronic ?

:'(
I must have the same software.
I had the dealer install the Ipod adapter (required software update) and now my front parking lights (eyebrows) are out.
I pointed this out to the dealer and they spent the day replacing the headlamps, light control unit but no luck. They were stumped.

I just got my car out the shop two days ago. My I-drive totally went down! They installed one of the upgraded software package but I lost my L.E.D.S!!! I never had the eyebrows, but beacuse I noticed these things when I picked up my car (thanks to you guys), they have already scheduled me the latest and greatest software pacckage ( they claimed they were getting it in next week). I was assured that I will eyebrows and L.E.D.S the next time around. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

My dealer told me even BMW can't confirm when this will be resolved, this is getting a bit annoying now... :'(

When u did the ipod update u got the latest then which is 23.02. When u take car in for service always ask for a copy of the Measures plan and / or Final report as you turn car in to be given to you when car returned to you. It will tell you the Target data Status which we decode to the PROGMAN level (formerly CIP).

I have an appointment set up for right after the holiday. I'll let you know how it goes but I was assured by my tech that it can be done. I'll give you an update 1st week in Dec.
