I lost my angel eyes after the software update when the SZL module was replaced. I took it in to the dealer so they could re-enable the angel eyes, and when I got her back, I still had no angel eyes but they had turned on my DRL's (for non-US members there is no option to turn DRL's on or off in the US versions of iDrive). So right now I have DRL's (which I don't want) but no angel eyes.

I just got a software update to fix a number of issues (haven't had a software update in over a year) and noticed the same problem (no eyebrows). I also noticed that when I lock the car I no longer get the lights flashing and the beep, even when the options are set that way. Anyone else notice this one as well?

Are the lights going to work properly on a new production car or are they getting broken software from the factory? (Car produced yesterday)
Your car is not finally programmed yet.
Every car is programmed by the dealer, just few days before delivery to the owner, during the delivery prepare process.

Well while we are talking about that, what was everyone's experience for delivery time from production to dealer inventory? Car is released to the carrier to go to the German port as of today.

In a more general sense, the eyebrow is the parking light, right? It's the only orange light on the front?
The 5 individual LED's on the side are also amber/orange, and all three (angel eyes, eyebrows, and 5 LED's) are essentially the parking lights and "should" turn on together.

On mine its the eyebrows and leds.

Ok. So the angel eyes still work? If I had to lose one or the other for a while I would rather lose the eyebrows and LED's and not the angel eyes. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

Hmmm, I'm in the same boat as you - waiting for a call from my SA today - I'll update this post if he gives me any hope!

Jon.
Here's an update (no joy yet, though)... I took my car in yesterday for this problem (eyebrow LEDs disabled by the update). They didn't have a bulletin on this problem yet, but they first tried to reprogram the headlight control module (which controls the whole front light cluster) - it wouldn't recode. The swapped in a new module but that didn't fix it. They were going to contact their tech support group (PUMA?) and order new light modules - I will probably take it back on on Friday for them to have another go at it.

I know it is not such a big deal as it does not affect safety, performance, or drivability - but somehow, the car just feels incomplete without them. The SA and Tech at my BMW shop are both sensitive to this and are putting as much effort as I think is reasonable into it - after all, they can only install the software BMW sends them...

I just noticed this morning, eyebrows not working either. Will call BMW service today. Thank you for bringing this into my attention, it could have been weeks, maybe months before I'd have noticed (Update was done last week).
