I red news that BMW and Delphi are developing about 5 kW "solid oxid cell" (SOFC) which uses petrol or diesel. If normal alternator "uses" 1 to 1,5 litres of fuel to power up car fuel cell will use only half of that.
BMW has not told when it will have fuel cell in it's cars, but first it will come to "high end" models. Price will be about 500,-? per kW, later it might go as low as 100,- ? kW.
