Does anyone have alignment specs for a 07 550i sport suspension?
Dealer is refusing to do a alignment on my car because it has aftermarket 20" rims so i have to take it somewhere else... does anyone have the correct specs that i can give to the alignment shop?

If you don't have active steering, you can take it to any tire shop. I got mine done at American Tire Depot.

Dean - The dealer wouldn't touch mine either with 19's. Take your car to Barnwell House of Tires in Mineola (On Jericho TPKE). Ask for Wayne or TJ (Father and Son are the owners). Tell him you were referred by me and know that a few of the E60 5 series owners go to them. bboomer over on M5Board sent me to them. I was so impressed with their service, price and honesty, I've taken back all my cars to them for service. They are honest, fair and do great work. They use the Hunter Alignment machine, which has all the lasers and crap. They'll get your car back in-line and back 100% of their work, should it not be up to your satisfaction (which I think it will be).

The alignment specs will fall in a "range."

The problem is that the different size wheels do mess up the normal factory specs. There is a misperception that you want to go back to "original" specs. This is not always the case, although it is the safe way to go.

Boutique wheel shops are aware of these issues for all expensive makes, and they usually can give great referrals.

You definitely want to go to the same place where the alignment people are being asked to work on $150,000 cars.

Dealers will do cars with aftermarket rims. Cuz the computer has setting for cars that are lowered and have bigger rims than factory stock. The real reason, which I found out from one of the guys over at BMW, is that in order for them to do alignment, they need 5 small holes (in between the lugs). So if your aftermarket rim doesn't have these holes, they wont do it. If you look at all bmw rims and aftermarket rims that are specifically made for BMW, you'll notice the 5 small holes

I appreciate all your help guys...

I had an alignment done a week ago and it wasn't done right... i took the car to the dealer and the found out the wheel bearing was shot and they replaced it.
Maybe thats why they couldn't align the car properly? im going to take it back to them and have them redo it...

Did you have it done at a regular alignment shop? Cuz I did that one time and it screwed up my alignment and steering even more. This was before I knew that you have to do active steering alignment.
