I am trying to get some info, I have a '06 550i with 62,000 miles (out of warranty) and the passenger air bag is giving me trouble, about 1/2 the time there is a passenger sitting in the seat the warning light goes on.

Now from what I have read here and on the net, my year is not involved in the recall, confirmed by my dealer. But in some articles it is meantioned that the warranty has been extended to 10 years for the '06 5-series for the restrainst system, my dealer has been checking into this for the past two days and now I am getting concerned.

Does any one have any further info or can point me to what I seek.
