Keep us posted and good luck with the Acura. Somebody will scoop it up in a hurry. I've had 2 and sold each of them within a couple of days.

Realistic, not pessimistic. You "can't imagine" because you're coming from an Acura.

Do you send your car to the dealership when something goes wrong? The most I pay for labor right now is ~$70/hour... and for OE parts, if you know the right people, you can get them at a discount for retail or 10% over cost. Just sayin...

True I'm rarely at the dealership with my Acura though.

OK so the "non-CPO" dealership came down to my low ball (within $500) and I have the option of paying for a BMW warranty (not 3rd party).

I'm going to inquire why this car isn't considered a CPO... or is it as simple as the mileage (out of factory warranty)?

This is what it would cover:
That is one of BMW?s most popular warranties it is the Power Train plus. It covers all of the engine components and transmission components and fuel system along with engine electrical and cooling system. All of the high dollar items.

So the non-CPO 535i is eligible for CPO status for a small payment of $2600! The sales guy I'm dealing with is asking for an "out the door" offer with CPO.
