Guys/Gals,

Do any of you know if the Advanced Climate Control can be retro fitted into an E60 525i sport?

I really regret not getting this upgrade, as the standard Auto Air Con looks and feels a bit poor!

Thanks in Advance,

Paul

Welcome to the Forum!

Costs, if it even can be done, are way more than it pays.

Bad idea! Forget it!

Buy a new car instead, look for a 530dA with adv AC.

I heard the diesels are finally understood by the UK goverment.

Thats only the reason that i got it, because of the looks. You might be able to do it but it might cost abit.

It's possible.. I saw a brand new E61 getting the advanced climate control retrofitted at my last dealer visit. The cost was around ?3.000 - including labor (I guess)... The car was such a mess inside! Every little screw and plastic cover was taken away, so it's a hell of a job!

I bet that E61 driver will regret getting the air-con upgrade once he hears all the rattles from the dash being taken apart, they are never the same when this happens.

Thanks for the advice guys, guess as the car is only a few months old I will have to live with it :-)

In future I will read the options list properly.

Again, thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

Regards,

Paul

Just my HO but after having both its not worth the massive cost to retrofit. Ok the advanced system looks better but it doesn't do a great deal more. Still just blows hot and cold air!
