Active Cruise control change?

Hey everyone, I'm not sure how many have seen the following post in the FAQ forum talking about the ability to disable the "active" part of the active cruise system on newer cars:

Sounds interesting, will have to try it, could be very useful, the 'Active' part can actually be quite annoying at certain speeds/conditions.

Great news if true. I have been very disappointed in the fact that BMW provides so few retrofits.
