AC cooling delay?

So I think I found the problem.
Yesterday I started the car and turned on the AC. I jumped out of the car to see if the fan was on, it wasn't.
I 'jiggled' the connection on the fan and it came on.
When I got back in the car, the air was already starting to cool down.
Guess I'll get some contact cleaner and see if that resolves it.

I am interested in the "solution" as well. I have the same slow-to-cool issue and just got my car back from the dealer, who said this is normal. Seems crazy that it is, but I took their word as my service tech is pretty darn good and a straight shooter.

Hi all.
In my previous post, I mentioned that the fan came on when I messed with the connection at the fan and it came on.
But I think that may have been coincidence, as my experiment may not have had any bearing on getting the fan to start.
I have been trying to dig up an answer to why the AC takes a few minutes to cool down.
If you look at this SIB, it says this is normal operation:

Anyone else seen this before?
