I'm still in the break in period!!! And more to the point I can't launch a manual for sh!t!!!!
We'll wait for the next meet so your baby should be nicely broken in by then. And let's do rolling starts instead. Till this day, I have yet to launch my car once. LOL!

I have video evidence that an M5 can keep up with a Porsche GT3. It may have been a "slow" Porsche driver but both were running hard and getting good times. Unfortunately it seems to have been taken offline.

Here is a discussion of the track session on m5board.com:
M5 at VIR

PS: I run right at 2:30 with a bone stock 550i. The M5, albeit with track brakepads is significantly faster per lap and almost 20 mph faster down the back straight.

PPS: I can keep up with older Porsches and even some new ones with the 550i as shown here:
. Note in that video, I took it easy the first few laps. By 6 minutes in, I stepped it up and passed my first car.... Later I get passed by 3 cars but can hang with them for the final 2 laps of the session.

I really need to take my car to the track some day. I even have the perfect brake setup with Brembo slotted rotors. As for weight, I'm pretty sure I've already shaved off over 100lbs by changing out the entire exhaust system, including headers. My wheels and Brembos are also lighter than the stocks and I'm about to shed another ~40lbs by replacing the stock battery with a lightweight racing unit.

Hmm...I should go on a diet.

Believe it or not, I thought about those too. I even have the trunk mat but man, they all have the beautiful ///M5 logos on them.

I might throw out the rear headrests. Hardly anyone ever sits back there.

My speed limiter has been moved to 200 by the RDSport software and I don't think Cattman's Porsche is restricted either.
Where can you get above 155 in california? You'd struggle to reach that even on a racetrack wouldn't you?

The roads are good enough for those speeds in Me-hi-co ? My only experience of Mexico is Tijuana.

Unrestricted, the 500 HP of the M5 will rule. My speed limiter was removed too and doing high speed runs against an M5 resulted in me being faster (with 384 HP), but taking longer to get there.

Top Gear looks at the M6 vs. the 911 C2S vs. Aston Martin:

The 911 is significantly faster in the lap than either of the others. Fun videos.
