550i LCI led angel eyes, quick advice please
Bah, Matt, have your camera person take better pics. Those are terrible, especially the second one.
Gene: you're definitely right about that... however, there are myriad of options out there for HID kits. Obviously people/vendors are to make money, to capitalize on the monopoly they might have (LUX for example), but $300 is seriously a rip off.
Last night I came across the radiator thread, and like anyone can say, it basically is just a gigantic heat sink. How much is it? $200 with free shipping. I simply cannot fathom how the maker of LUX can conscientiously sell at $300 and sleep well at night. Maybe I play too fair or something, but I would feel hella bad ripping people off like that. But yeah, of course there's the whole other argument about people willing to pay for it, blah blah blah.
True, but then you get morons attacking vendors introducing a competing product utilizing similar design (that E90post drama thread you probably have seen). Any case, sorry for getting so off topic.

^it's not OT IMO, we're discussing AE options. Honestly, if you could produce an AE kit for far less with the same or better quality, sign me up. The problem with some other LED kits I've seen on e9x models is the heatsinks go bad over time and actually melt. Very rare to hear if at all to hear such a case with Lux.

$300 is a bit much when you can get so many other things for your car for that price, and we personally don't have any products that are that much for what is basically a couple of LED with a heatsink and a resistor, but he's free to charge that amount

The only problem we have is that E90post is run more like a crony government agency with selected vendors receiving favoritism and benefits not available to many others...course, it's their business, so they get to do with it what they want
There are additional photos as well.
I disagree with this completely. This is something called honest business man, as rare as that might be. Particular individuals may not be filthy rich due to his/her practice, but people can at least can trust and respect them.
Seems like my first post on the side caused quite a stir. Let's please keep this about brighter/whiter angel eyes. If anyone knows a reasonably priced solution that's brighter than the gp thunders for lci e60's, post it here. Thanks!
It's the Milton Friedman idea

ICE V5
Genesis
Predator ICE LCI
Orion
All of them are brighter, the question is, how much of your money do you want to spend?
the Predator ICE LCI unit is the brightest of them all but at the cost of the inside ring looking a little washed out in most applications.

here is our list in order of brightness:
LCI lights are:
$50 for dimmer H8 based ICE Lite with resistor required.
$97.50 for ICE V5 with resistor required - exactly the same as the Weeeeeiiiisssslicht <-- gesundheit
$169.99 for Genesis ? about 30-40% brighter than ICE V5 for LCI only) with resistor required - very good quality system.
$249 for the Predator ICE ? the brightest for LCI available - resistor included - HID based.
$245 for Orion V2 ? requires opening the lights (cutting) and is not for the faint of heart (no resistors required) <-- best available option and truest color setup.

define reasonably priced? Also, do you want pure plug and play? If you just want a straight bulb swap, and want to spend at the most $20, then go with the gp thunders. If you want to spend the $100-$300 range go with an HID kit or LED kit. The latter will require some extra equipment and slight extra installation, not just a simple bulb swap...
