When you schedule app, you should be able to request your SA to provide you BMW for loaner. If your time is flexible, you may ask for a different date when they have BMW available. Anyway, this really depends on different dealer.
For my dealer, if you don't specify or request. When they run our of their own BMW loaner fleet, they will give you Enterprise rental... They said Enterprise will give you Mercedes depends on availability.... I got a Dodge RAM, a big truck. And one time I got a Neon. I never get Mercedes.... And you actually wait in Enterprise for long long long time before they give you a car.... and you will take any at that time.
After that, I normally just mentioned I don't need a rental. ( even it is free under warranty. ) Unless some unknown problem which might take days to fix. For regular service, I just drop at morning. Ask wife pickup me .... send me to work... then get me to pickup the car when done. Quick and easy.....

I scheduled to have my 550i serviced with BMW 2 weeks ago. I dropped it off this afternoon and to my surprise, they give me Toyota Camry as a loaner. I am new to BMW so i didnt know to expect this. I didnt think they would even insult me like that.. This is the last time i will deal with them. Competition BMW in smithtown NY sucks!!
