Does anybody know what the top speed of a 545 would be without the speed limiter?

 

In Singapore, if you drive at 256km/hr, you will be sent to jail and your E60 will be confiscated. How does it feel driving at 256 km/hr? Doesn't the scenery on the outside becomes blur because of the high speed? I cannot imagine driving at 256 km/hr. It is unbelievable!

 

WOW...congrats on your new 545i...it is nice huh!!! the best record I got so far was 160KM/h...and I totally agree with your experience about the handling(M5board),it is perfect indeed...

 

well, my guess would be around 270 to 280km/h...In 2002,I've tried 220km/h on my 330CI(with the limiter and slightly downhill highway) although the manual says 208km/h.. BTW,guys, I also found that the fuel consumption on the 545i is almost same as 330CI, 15L/100km on the 545i versus 14.7 L/100km on the 330CI and both in city...well,that is amazing!! I was expecting the V-8 to drink at least 17L...

BTW, how do you like your eisenmaun? How much did it run you and is their any drone inside the cabin?

 

That's a nice pic, but another pic of the speedometer and RPMs would be even better. The fastest I've run the car is about 135mph, but only for a brief instance before I let up on the gas (the other guy was already in my dust).

 

The Eisenmann is a perfect compromise I think. Much louder outside than OEM but no big difference inside.

 

256 km/h in 5th - 6000 rpm!
