545i hydrolocked (well maybe)

I finally was able to get my hands on pressure tester and got it done today.
Little worried about findings...
What I found is the following(those numbers are from perspective as if one was standing in front of the engine i.e. 0|0 is all the way back):

I took 3 measurements for each cylinder and those are averages in lbs per sq. inch.

I'm very surprised with 0's on the left side as I had only one error code on cylinder 8, which would be back right. I'm going to repeat the test on all 0's,but it seems that I have quite a bit more of problems than I thought.

I don't have a leak down test tool yet, but what would you recommend as next troubleshooting steps given those readings?

if i were a gambling man, i'd say you got water in your engine, and did some mechanical damage.

any water at all getting in your intake is bad. engines compress the incoming air for combustion. get any water in there and your engine is trying to compress a liquid, which causes the damage.

if i saw those readings i wouldn't even bother with pulling the heads off. i'd order another engine and replace it.

I think I'm coming to the same conclusion.

I have yet one more question. After my pressure test the engine doesn't start at all.I pulled the fuse for fuel pump to do the test and the fuse is back on and nothing else has been touch other than spark plugs. Is there a some kind of reset required for fuel pump ?

you say it was only a 7" of water, but how fast were you going through it?

I couldn't be going more than 10 mph.

I have no doubt that water got in, i just dont know whats the damage yet. Is there a list somewhere of all fault codes that can show up? Google search dididnt return any...

Still, how did the water get past the air filter and the carbon absorber if it was still installed? Unless the filter was torn.

so you know water got in? then why are you wasting timing in trying to diagnose things? i think your compression test gave you the outcome of your engine. a bent rod or busted piston is not going to throw any codes.
