I'd like to have an aftermarket exhaust made, so I need to know how many cells the stock cat has. Does anyone know?

My Ride: '05 545i - scheduled for ED pickup in Munich on 7/22!
cats are built into the manifolds, so you're getting custom manifolds made?
not sure about how many cells, but my guess is gotta be at least 200. i assume you want less cells for more power right? most aftermarket 100 cell cats are still legal.

Yes, the man who will make the work told me "What sort of kat you have now, 100, 200 cells ?" and I didn't know what answer

.I will change muffler, make the 4 pipes .. But I don't know yet for the kat ... How many HP it would be possible to get changing it ? 1, 5, 10 .. ?

.400 cells the stock, the man who will make the job suppose : in 10-15 days I'll come back to him to make it and when he'll unmount the stock kat I can verify
