I have had the car for the 5th day now and I truly in love !! 
I'm so happy I didn't take any of the cars i've tested before (New A6 4.2, S4, G35 etc. etc.)
Today I was doing about 70 MPH on the highway on 4th gear and decided to shift it to 3rd and floor the gas pedal... The car was brutally launched (at 70!!) causing the rears to spin (at 70!!) secound look at the gages and i'm already at 110... Ohh... the smile on my face...
I love my 545i MT !

awhh must have been truly awesome bro! can you imagine what the 550 will be like then?? 
Is there anyway to remove the speed limit on the 5 series or does that void your warranty??

you broke the tires loose in third??? those HUGE 275s??? 5 days... Arnt you still in break in?

Anyway.. did 700 Miles already... I don't think there's a need for a longer break in period...

My Ride: 2005 Orient Blue/Beige interior 545i: Cold weather pkg, Nav system, Premium sound, Sport Pkg, satellite prep, 30% smoke tinted windows all around, waiting for my euro red reflectors and umbrella!
I think the break in period is the ultimate torture! How can you give a person a car that wants to hit 100mph in 7secs and then say "don't drive fast or extreme the 1st 1200 miles" ? AARGH! 
I can't stand it! Okay, I got that off my chest, I now have 500 miles so I'm getting closer!!
