If I had a scanner I would scan in the ticket, however, I will type my results. These results were today, April 3, 2005. I was running with the shifter in D/S, and letting the car shift itself. I read an earlier post that stated that shifting at 5900 RPM's is ideal, but even with it in M mode, if I pull the stick at 5900, it still goes almost redline before shifting, so if someone can tell me how to get it to shift in the M mode sooner, I will definetly try again, as this was a BLAST.

Reaction Time: .489 seconds
60 feet: 2.085 seconds
330 feet: 5.979 @ 59.52mph
1/8 mile: 9.126 seconds @ 77.72

FYI, I was racing against a Chrysler 300C with 340 hp and 390lbs of torque. We made multiple runs, my best is posted, his best was 1/8 mile @ 9.205 seconds.

Seems good. I know 1/4 mile times a little better..?
I checked against a B7 S4 @ audiworld (his best out of 3):

0 - 100 mph 15.02 s
Vmax 104.35 mph
60ft 2.27 s**********
1/4 mile time 14.55 s
1/4 mile Vmax speed 98.54 mph
0-100m 6.22 s
0-200m 9.46 s
0-400m 14.50 s
0-500m 16.70 s
0-1km 30.77 s
10m time 1.62 s

Texas Raceway in Kennedale. I think you can do this every Sunday.

P.S. It was $10 for unlimited runs, best $10 you'll ever spend

Did you brake torque your launch (turn off traction control, left foot on the brake, right foot throttle to around 2500 rpm, then full gas and off the brake on the green light) or did you just punch it on the green light? I'd let the step shift for itself, since it doesn't respond fast enough to do it manually, espc. from first to second. I seem to have to shift on launch to get into second before the red line. Just too high a ratio I think. I'm curious why just 1/8th mile and not a 1/4 mile run?

I did not do that, however, I appreciate the tip. I just floored it. I only ran an 1/8th of a mile because that was the track length. I may do a 1/4 on another track on Friday.

Interesting. 2/100s of a second quicker to 1/8th mile than my 535d, but my speed was ever so slightly higher.... would the 535d be starting to pull away? ;-)
