Happy New Year to all!

Noticed it yesterday while driving. My left paddle shifter wouldn't engage during upshift. It would still pull back but would not engage to a higher gear, yet it works when I push it to downshift. The right paddle shifter and the main knob works totally fine and does what it's suppose to. I usually/always use the left side paddle to shift gears because it's most convenient for me. Now I have to use the right paddle to upshift because of this issue.

Any ideas or conclusions on what the issue might be? Anything will help. Thanks in advance
