Oh something else, did you try to reset the values for the MAF? Should work with DIS and/or Inpa.

My Ride: 535d E60 350+hp/700+nm DPF off
I have not tried to reset the MAF values, but from i read somewhere that the ECU automatically adjusts the MAF driving 50 km when it senses a new one.
Map sensor should be this one:
E60 M57 (3.0 and 2.5 litre diesel engines) MAP sensor cleaning
The sensor on the end right side of the intake as you are looking to it.

Weird is that i cannot find this sensor on bmwfans.info
From what i remember it was replaced a couple of years ago as well.

I re-checked the part, so the actual pressure sensor that was replaced it is this one:
Part 7.
Diesel partic.filt.sens./mount.parts BMW 5' E60, 535d (M57N)
Though the above picture shows the exhaust system, the actual sensor is found in the engine bay.
Initially I thought this is the MAP sensor, but from previous post, now i see that the MAP is a totally different sensor.
I cant find the code of the MAP sensor neither in bmwfans or realoem, so i have to take it off and get the code, in order to replace it.

I have the same problem
my car goes into safe about 180km if I go with much power ....
The car is chipped ... FAP off
The turbos are new and vacuum tubes also ...
I made a diagnosis to the car and accused error MAF ...
'
I did a test with another but the result was the same .... I think this is not the problem ....
I have tested another map but the same thing ....
I'll clean the map sensor and test to see the result,,,,
Intake manifold
I think the sensor is No. 8

Any Update?
Hi All,
Any update on the issue of hitting limp mode when the common reading is always 2.5bar pressure.
I am getting the same error on my 2009 535D which has a map and EGR OFF, everything else is stock.
I was planning on replacing the 2 pressure convertors and vacuum hoses but they look perfect until my old 535D. I think its just a mapping issue and plan to bring it back next week, but wanted to see what everyone else though of this issue.
I only get 1 error logged in INPA when it hits the limp mode in 5th gear at 240kph usually.
Anyone any thoughts?
Thanks
