Aubeesea and ressla, I was joking .
But someone here said something similar .
Ressla, pls link me the clip .. If it pretend to have 370 HP, that car has to do 18s from 0 to 200 (kmh), not the usual 20 or 21s .

Tuner's HP aren't real . Never .
(for the 545i all tuners say 22-25 HP .. Instead they are 8-10)

Bye!
Here you go . The car starts at 10secs in , and hits 200kmh at 28-29 secs. The 0-200kmh time is thus ,in my estimation, approximately 18.5 secs

Sorry eh, but you have a distorted idea of the realty : on my 5, to have 200 kmh, you have to reach 207 kmh of speedometer .
Why on the 535d shoud be different ?
You can easily verify : secret men? and effective speed men? inside it .
For example, to have 100 kmh, my car needs 102 of speedometer .
Do you know the procedure or do I have to explain it ?

They are 20s or something similar .
I always talk about real 0-200, when I say I do 19s (with the ridicoluos final drive ratio of manual/SMG, with a 230-240 kmh fourth gear - that will be changed as soon as possible) .

I'm sorry to be repetitive, but a steptronic (stock) 545i, with 'only' 333 HP (and not 370, lol), does something like 18.5, that is 1.5s better than any remapped 535d) .

To be realistic, a 535d gains 30-40 HP with the remap .
Or if you prefer, it gains 100 HP but is slower than the slowest (stock) 545i .
As you (= all 535d owners) prefer .

I agree with Alex - but then anyone who believes that 0 to 200kph is the point of a 535d should be looking at an M5. Picture this; Busy motorway, traffic in front of you clears, everything in your rear view mirror is now very very small - the mid range grunt is what the 535d is all about; all you petrol owners out there - please report back your experiences of out pulling a 535d from the 50mph mark lol .

Are you stupid, blind or what else ?

a) That clip shows 21s till real 200 kmh .

b) I know that man, he write on italian BMW forum . He's mad, but doesn't matter . Anyway, he declares 20.6s .
Do you need a post in which he said 20.6 ?

What aybeesea can't understand ?
I am continuing to explain that 21s aren't 18 .

21 >>>>> 18

Do you need a little drawing ?

Here you are :

535d coming to the US-asebeya.jpg

As stock my car (545i SMG) made 20 . Now 19 .
With next mod less than 18, I expect (I will have shorter gears, like steptronic 545i)

How could make a tuned steptronic 545i, if as stock it makes less than 19s ?

Pls keep a bit of dignity and accept that ANY remapped 535d on Earth is slower than the slowest stock 545i .
And this point is valid for you, for bettermakeway, for that member from Portugal etc.

Do you want a clip of my 5, with a 240 kmh 4th gear ?
I will register a 100-200 kmh, next time I'll go on the highway .

It's now my guilt if 535d is slow, really . Be angry with BMW, not with me .

And I would like to add that without short gears a remapped 535d would be slower than now (about 23s ?)
Because it is only a tuned 530d .

When BMW will release a 545d, maybe ...

[edit]
PS .. That video shows how a 535d can go from 0 to 250 of speedometer (that there aren't real 250) in over 36s .. ROTFL, over 36s till 250 of speedometer.. And how many till real 250 ? 40s ? or more ?
Ok, my car needs only 34-35s (and not 40) to reach 250 kmh .

...stupid, blind..
There's a lot of it about.

In the same way that the video you refer to gives times to thousandths of a second!! The video I chose was to illustrate how stupid all of these these videos are.

Who would be stupid enough to claim timings in that environment to even a whole second rather than the thousandths which are illustrated.

We're really back to "Who cares??" - because I, for one, don't care.

Also remember, I'm making NO claims...

Maybe someone needs a beta blocker here... just pass one over if there are any going spare...
