My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
I did a search a saw some of his previous mods. He has a "Juice Box". I then went to Juice Box website. $179 +25hp/+35 ft lbs. With that plus the fat kid mod you are back to the performance of a stock 535.
I am going to PM some of the recently surfaced local guys to me. There was a stock 535, 550 and my Dinan 535. Someone offered to video it as well. My friend owns the old Calverton Airport out east on LI. I might be able to get that to use for 0-60 & other runs. It was a cargo and test site for Grumman Corp and I think its longer that JFK's landing strips. They have closed Bridge Hampton, West Hampton and Islip race tracks over the years- no local legal/safe place to go anymore.

He has Juice Box Stage2 which is a more powerful version. According to their website:
"Our most popular tune, offering 40+ rear wheel horsepower and 50+ rear wheel torque gains. Peak boost is set at 11psi, and air/fuel ratios are remapped for maximum performance".

Never ever. When I got my 545 it was the baddest e60 out there because they did not even have the new M5 out yet. I was the first year for the SMG s well. There has alway been a significant accelaration advantage distance between the v8 and 6's.

This is what I suspected.......is seems to me that BMW has upset the balance of power (no pun intended) when they introduced the 300+ hp TT engine, putting the performance of the 535i perilously close to that of the 550i, and knowing full well that tuners were sure to extract more hp with an ease never before seen in a modern 5er, look at what you were able to get with $1900.00. Balance will not be restored until the TT V8 comes online.

Re-read his post, he did - references to JB2.

But for $379 even if you get a little more power it could be worth it.
