I have had an inquiry from a BMWCCA member regarding his July 2007 build 535xi. It seems that he has had AWD/DSC failure warning messages four times since he has owned the vehicle, accompanied at some point with battery failure. He states he has not put a lot of miles on the car, perhaps 10,000 miles at this point. He states that he bought just about every option BMW offered at the time, except for the IR system for road hazards.
Has anyone reading this had similar issues, and if so, what was the resolution?
thanks - John Gamel, BMWCCA Ombudsman

I have attached my car to a battery tender every weekend and that pretty much solved the problem.

Hi, I'm the Jil that "Brit in NJ" is talking about. I had the same warnings in the idrive check to see if the back / front passenger floor is wet. Mine was and when I removed the carpet there was almost 2 inches of water under it. My car was flat bedded this morning to BMW as per the advise of my insurance company. Good luck with your issues and I'll keep you updated with mine.

Water was only on one side to. I was in shock as I stood there looking at the water. This is the first time it has ever happened to any of my cars... The tow guy who picked it up said he picked his friends Audi up with the same issue last friday from the night before heavy rain. All I know is once I get my car back I'm buying a car cover!! hahah
if you get a car cover, how will you know your car will not leak during heavy rain?

It's at BMW they have to wait until Geico gets to see it and if they ok the repairs. Once they ok they will replace all water damaged items and try and locate where the water was coming in. Once BMW gets paid by Geico and their check clears they said they will release the car to me.
