Since you are in the US, your dealer will need to program your running lights to be on during daylight hours.

Znod is correct -- North American cars do not allow the driver to adjust the DRL setting. They must be activated by the dealer.

That said, my advice is to not activate them. It allows you more control over when your lights are on or off and it also allows you to run with just the angel eyes on if you're interested in that look...
