It is a 550, not a 540, and it will have a new V8, the same one as the just released revised 7 series.

Get the 550, it will have close to last model's M5 performance. To think, the first M5 only had about 286 hp.

 

if they bring a 540i, it will be the new engine from the new 740i, making ~306bhp, some of us dont need near E39 M5 numbers....

 

Just get the 550i, you'll be happier and won't think to yourself I could've, would've or should've!

 

for me, not necessary, as i know i'll never use the additional power at this point...i dont drag race, its a saloon, and either 258 or 306bhp is plenty of power, plus it will be fully optioned so i never would/have should/have, ya know...when i ready for serious power i'll go for the 911....

 

I'm no Rockefeller (Props to Porsche) so would settle for an 06 or 07 Corvette Z06!
