Thank you! Finally someone with some common sense. Everyone's telling me to ditch my 1 year old 545 for the M5. I think I'll listen to Znod.
Well, EBMCS03 will be glad to hear that....it means he can keep kicking your 545's butt with his little IS 6!!

Go for the M, you know you want it!! You are just trying to talk yourself OUT of it, lol!!

Now, we're getting off topic. kmslo530i, you're a BADDD man.

Back to the topic... To the original poster, have you decided yet? Is it the 550? If so, November isn't THAT long of a wait. It'll be worth it and you've joined the club of those that suffered waiting for their car.

We have both and I love the 550, however the 530 is a smoother car, ride as well as shifting. Sometimes it's nice to just sit back and get 32mpg also. Tough choice, both great cars.

It always come down to $$$$. If the extra $100 a month doesn't leave the family without shoes then it's a no-brainer

I'm not a M5 lover. Don't like low tq/high hp engines; don't like the SMG (including the watered down launch control for US cars); don't like horrible gas mileage; and don't like usually being beaten in straight-lines by those in "my class." I'll keep my 545i for now.
Generally you won't like Motosport cars then since that's their way of doing things.
