530 going in for service tomorrow
Is there anything else I should have done? I see a lot of people posting software updates, but I haven't noticed any electrical glitches. My car was built in Sept. There are rattling and squeaking noises coming from the rear which I'm going to tell them about.
And I noticed my first ding last night
maybe they can take that out for free?

If the car is perfect and you don't experience any problems, then I wouldn't get the software updated. If everything works fine, wait and get the last software update, after it has been out for at least two months.
But if you have troule with somthing, than I would go for a software update. Don't forget an update will take at least one day (up to 16 hours !) and there is no guarantee that everything is fine after the update.

Yes, I would take this advice very seriously. I had my software updated and it didnt fix my problem (voice command not working) and they reset all of my settings. Argh!
If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

Good luck on the squeaks! Mine only squeaks intermittently and then it seems only during high humidity. Dealer says they can't duplicate it.
