I agree too. I've driven both & the 530i is so much better in both power and looks.

ok..so in 5 weeks the 05 arrives and the wheels are the same (17's). So the difference is in the power, plus I do not get Hud. Keep in mind I do have the boxster and the Carrera and my wife prefers comfort....do the 525 and 530 (both w/o Sport Package) have the smooth ride that my wife got accustomed to in the 04 525 with 16's....I do like the extra power of the 530.....

Bimmeroc,
People are coming with all different configs, but I only saw two options. Are those two options flexible, or are they already in build status and you have to take one of the two as is?

I had the same experience. To little power and the automatic gearbox was acting very nervous when hitting the gas a little.. The 530 gearbox understands the amount of torque and only goes back one or two gears when you are almost flooring it or using the kickdown. Much more relaxing to drive I found.

I also chose a 530i over the 525 due to the more torque the car has. But you need the xenons so if you can't get a 530 with xenons I would go for the 525

I believe in safety and safety is first for me. Xenons are a safety option because you can see more and are more vissible for other roadusers.. So IMHO I would choose xenons over a bigger engine. The xenon headlights also look better then the normal ones.
