Standard Audio crap?

ok I have the BusNav, and therefore the so called "professional" radio etc etc.
BUT, as I bought the car ex-demo from the dealer i obviously did not get to choose the spec so could not go for Logic7.
My question to the forum is, with the standard system how many speakers are there, reason I ask I am considering upgrading them.
I find the amplification is ok but at higher volumes i feel the speakers are especially weak, if i use the fader to single out the rears they sound, well crap to be blunt. I know most standard factory speakers are crap, but just wanted to check i was not alone in thinking this before i go down the upgrade route.
ps: i'm not fussed about sub's or extra amps, all i want is speakers that sound upto the job.

UK standard system is 6 speakers and a pile of rubbish, 1st upgrade takes it to 10 and its pretty good for general use (includes 2 subs under the front seats)...logic seven is yet another step up but in my mind not sufficiently better than the hifi speaker system to justify the uk price.
1 thing is for sure, if you have the standard setup....upgrade the speakers, they are Cr*p

Is some one with me? I found the standard sound to be good.
I listen to jazz and classical music and it sounds good...now if you want to hear a weak sound..go to the E39 or the e49 with standard sound system.

AFAIK,
US Spec (Standard) - Comes with a 10 speaker setup including 2 subs.
UK Spec (Standard) - Comes with 6 speakers and no subs.
The US Cars can onlu upgrade to Logic 7. UK Cars have the option to go to US spec standard (10 spkrs) or go all the way to Logic 7 as well.
Hope that helps clarify.
