Hello, I have been having problems with my 520D as the battery dies and I have to re-charge it every now and then. I gave it a good charge three days ago and this morning it was dead again. i've had this problem before and they told me it was the alternator which i've had replaced. again now i have the same thing. i'm sure it's not the alternator as when the car is running i used a multimeter to check if the alternator is inputting.

how can i find out EXACTLY which systems are not shutting down?

also do we really need the IBS? can it be bypassed somehow? what effect would it have if it was disconnected?

So have you changed the battery?, the battery on these cars are only good for around 5 years.

 

yes i have twice brand new bosch the battery is good
