I have 2008 535i and it stilll has a warranty from BMW.
Just wondering, will 20" rims void my warranty for the brakes?

I dont think rims would have any effect on warranty. That would be too stupid

 

Because bigger rims tend to get the brake discs thin faster??

 

No bigger rims won't void warranty.

 

IF, and I say IF a dealer chose to not replace brakes under warranty, he could do so. However, they will not void the entire warranty. BMW is not known for exercising this "right". Other manufacturers are well known for this. Subaru voids warranty on entire drivetrain for aftermarket wheels on their WRRX StI.

 

Wow... make me want to install the OEM wheels back.

 

Bigger wheels will wear out your brakes faster.

Plus your ABS system and traction control are calibrated to OEM wheel/tire sizes.

All this would not surprise me to void a OEM warranty.

I thought the sticker in the window stated 'Non BMW accessories could void your warranty'

 

Traction control and abc and all stuff works as good as with oem wheels..
