I can't believe it.
First the offset steering wheel and wheel allignment problems.
Now the oil cooler is leaking and a replacement has been ordered from Germany and will take a week. At least thats what they say. Until then I'm stuck with a loaner.
On top of this all, the electronic gear shifter is malfunctioning.
Way to go $60,000 BMW!!!!!
At least my $15000 five year old Corolla is keeping me mobile.
Sorry I'm being so sarcastic but I'm so disappointed and embarassed in front of my friends.
And on top of this all my wife is pestering me to dump the 535 and get a 750i.
What next?????

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
The E34 340 hp S38B38 didn't come to US, before MY -04.
In Europe the car with the new engine was in '92.
A mint '95 20 Jahre Motorsport M5" is worth a fortune and is a brilliant investment.
The E34 M5 (even the 3.5 [3,6]) was the fastest standard street car in EU
ie in the whole world, when it was intoduced in the late '80's.
But in Europe we still don't have the E60 535i!?
All in all this means that the new tech is tested by customers.

this past Feb I bought a CPO 04 330i and not even in 2 weeks it had a new battery, ABS senors, Brakes, 2 oilchanges ,lifters ticked, new suspension bushings. Finanlly after its last service I drove it around the corner and traded for a CPO 525i this one had issues too. the tilt steering had to be replaced and the exhaust due to a faulty hanger oh and headlamp assembly. Its been great these last few months without a worry. I dont think the CPO techs are doing their jobs or are overwhelmed by the volume of used cars.. Watch out for Fuel pump failure and overheating! I feel bad for yeah and I hope all gets resolved.

I got sold with ppl stating BMW has top of the line inspection, 61point or something, so theres 0 probs, you pay premium $2k xtra at dealer so you get a good recertified car w/o problems.. but after buying it, I came to know, 61-point CPO inspection is a big joke! mine went back to dealer that same week!!

Thanks for all your posts.
Makes me feel a little better.
Makes me feel a little better.
Most "lemon laws" require a problem to be reported and not fixed within a certain time (which is usually a lot less than the manufacturers warranty), after it has been reported a specific number of times to the dealer. Normally the dealer has to be given three chances to fix the reported problems before you can initiate your rights under your states "lemon law".
Remember to be aggressive and act quickly. Good Luck
