I used to get a small jerk. Transmission leak at the mechatronics sleeve.. 6-$800 fix and it runs like new. Which dealership do you go to? I got to east bay BMW in Dublin. I think they are pretty good. Much better than Fremont

Sup bro. Yea man, still in the shop, 4 weeks and a a day. Hopefully it'll be resolved this week. Are you still in the Bay? Or did you head back already?

I've been reading about the "mechatronics" issue. It sound like a cheaper fix versus swapping in a new transmission. My first choice was to bring the car to East Bay, but my independent shop said I should bring it to Steven's Creek instead.

No fix yet, but I'm trying to hope for the best.

So, here's what you have to do - it's a frikkin tranny reset!!

Drive in manual mode M5 for 5 minutes at over 60MPH, then switch it to M6 for 1 minute, then back to M5 for 2 minutes, then back to auto.
Note: the car is going to sputter continuously when you have it on M5 for the 5 minutes.

That was it - drove around for 30 minutes afterwards and no issues what so ever!! Unbelievable!!!
