Another 'new' feature on the Pro Navi. On the small screen if you have set your display to any of the map views, the display will automatically jump to the Arrow view just before it give you a navigation instructions. Its the similar to the V24 update where Arrow view instructions would appear on the large screen in case you were on the i Drive home screen.

hi all,
just had all the latest and greatest software updates done on my pre-owned 545i. they did some tranny updates and the v25 update. feels like a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT vehicle to what i drove off the lot a week ago. this could now be the best engine, tranny, throttle combo i have ever driven in auto trans.
i don't have nav... so the idrive home screen didn't change.
i had the upgrade done at new century bmw... treated me very well... all under warranty.
cheers... nick

Another thing that I noticed was that if I assign a steering wheel button to shift Audio sources its cycles between CD, FM, AM and my AUX retrofit. Prior to the update it would not go to Aux.
Also prior to the update if I turned the volume very high without connecting a source I could hear some disturbance now I don't. Can't explain it but I'm happy.
Everytime I go out I find new features. It almost makes me think that I now have an out of date owner's manual :-) Which reminds me, did anyone manage to get hold of the LCI pdf version?

I can't say it was ever rough, below 10 miles/h the overall experience was a little jerky because of the high torque of the V8 at idle (creeping and so on ) - but that's about it.
Certainly, traffic speed creeping/stopping is very civilised now, also the recalibration of some sort that has taken place on the brakes has made this whole experience more civilised and smoother.
1st & 2nd changeover has definately made a marked impression on me..I was wondering what the experience of other members is from I6 engine but logically should be similar...
Some points:
1. Maybe your tranny is still "learning"
2. Cold engine: tranny will keep higher relative rpm on engine to expedite warming up. This has an inherent jerky changeover in itself and is normal. (I have this as well !)
In D and with warm engine you should have a reasonably smooth change in initial gears...![Ermm](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/ermm.gif)

The 1-2 shift is just so dramatically different than the 2-3 shift* that it is really noticable (where as the 2-3 shift is barely perceptible. Note I have 21.0.
* when I say 1-2 shift, it could easily be the 2-3 shift as the car starts in 2nd gear if I am not mistaken.

Car has 9K on it and is 16 months old - I sure hope it is not still learning! ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

Anyway, I'm still having trouble perceiving the shift between 1-2 under normal driving...it's really great !
