25.04 applied -- Nice improvement

I think that 25.04 was the first CIP upgrade my car has had, so take my comments with a grain of salt, but this upgraded fixed my *biggest* problem with my 2006 550i. I-drive was just too damn slow. I'm sorry, but if I push a button, click something, move a mouse or give any kind of input to any sort of electronic device, I have been trained to except an instantaneous response. This is the world that we live in, I'm sorry BMW. Nothing made me crazier then clicking something on my I-drive and waiting several seconds for a response. That is thousands of milliseconds people!
Anyway, 25.04 is a huge improvement. I don't really have a problem with the color changes, etc., but they did a few little things that made a big difference. General response time is much faster, I-drive is responsive immediately (no boot lag), and it seems like it remembers where you were when you were last in a menu. Maybe because BMW has done so little over the years with this platform that I'm so excited about such minor changes, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
I would encourage anyone who hates how slow I-drive is to get this upgrade ASAP.

I too endorse this view that v25 is the most responsive upgrade ever. I have Pro Nav and prior to v25 everything was sooooooo slow, infact I had gotten used to pressing steering wheel buttons twice to change tracks. I can't believe that stuff happens now with a slight click!!
Only question on the 25.04 because I had mine done only this week and it was v25.

Here are some pics from my just updated with 25.00.03 or 25.00.04 ...I don't really know which one. 
There was an LCI also there and I compared the I-drive menus, they are exactly the same
There is a new PDC appearance and calculation of the around the bumpers area

Yep, got my car back today as well with V. 25. and thought I'd chime in with some feedback.
I don't know what they did - but they hit the jackpot with this one.
1. All my outstanding complaints have been resolved, namely, losing mp3 capability after ipod retrofit and tracks keep advancing after car has been switched off.
2. idrive is more responsive generally, I have not noticed a marked improvement in responsiveness while inputing nav instructions and listening to my ipod at the same time. Colors are great, modern and detail is so good - it's like they increased the resolution on the screen !
3. HUD fonts are larger (did anyone notice this actually ??) check out your speed figures : they're HUGE ! i like it.
4. I can confirm the engine is running very smooth. there was an item on the SIB regarding the N62 engine and refered to pinging problem solved. This is the case and am finally super happy !
5. Tranny is definately smoother. 1st and 2nd changeover is so completely smooth it's jaw-dropping. Slow traffic behaviour is very civilised with no jerky movements. The idle parameters below 5miles/h have been improved.
6. Braking has been improved noticebly. Less travel, tighter feel - great !
I have actually no reason to get another software upgrade (unless the new LCI tailights retrofit I plan to get require a coding) - the car is just right.
No doubt about it - GET IT !!
PS. N62 engine owners with tapping or pinging noise from the engine : IMPORTANT upgrade on this guys > go for it. !
