Contrary to all the negative talk about Run Flat Tires, I would never put regular tires on my 2004, 530i I bought new. Like veteran member MRV99 I had my first set replaced free by BMW @11,000 miles. Now @ 40,000 miles the free set looks new and perform well. Car used on weekends only and driven aggressively. Had one flat, repair cost was $10.00, car was drivable, just kept adding air over 4 days before driving the car to a tire shop. TRY THAT WITH ANY REGULAR TIRE. My daily driver has regular tires, therefore I'm no stranger to back to back use and comparison. Tire size, 245-40-18, pressure 36psi front, 40psi rear. Dunlaps.

you kept adding air because you had a slow leak and tpms so you knew when the tire was going low, you could do that with regular tires too. regular tires cost half as much and you have way more options, you could get better gas mileage and more power to the ground because of less rotating mass, but go ahead keep running run flats somebody needs to buy them, for the rest of the world we will take them off because we understand the benefits of taking them off.

The ride with Run Flats isn't as good, they cost way too much and if it gets a big nail you got to cough up money for a new one.
Put new non run flat tires on and get the alignment done. Top of the line Michelin last 25-27k and they are warrantied for 45k.
I changed tires on my 04 530i Sport Suspension 3 times without paying full price after the first purchase.
