So the best wild guess so far is that they'll drop the red.
Is that another one of your guesses?

I drove the E70 X5 3.0si recently as we are considering replacing my wife's E53 X5 with one and I was blown away at how fast the Automatic shifts in Sport Manual mode
. I was not surprised that it shifts faster than my wife's E53, as that one is VERRRRY slow even in manual sport mode. However, I was surprised at how much faster it shifts in manual sport mode compared to the E60/E63 Steps. My E60 is an SMG and I had read in this forum about how fast the E60/E63's Step shifts, but was really dissappointed when I drove my friend's 650. Although it shifted faster than the E53 it was nowhere as fast as my SMG. The new E70 seemed like it was shifting as fast as (if not faster than) my 545i SMG (both in Sport mode). It had instant AND extremely smooth shifting in Sport manual mode. So if this isn't what they are talking about when they say "Sport Automatic" transmission then I don't know how much sportier you can get.

If I had to guess
.........I would also expect Space Gray to replace Silver Gray as they are too close to each other and it makes no sense to keep both on the E60.

A resounding yawn from our american cousins.

Oh... apart from "the sweet shifter".
Interesting that we in the EU are interested in the INTERIOR (plus the thall important 5% power boost to the 535d) whilst the US is saying "what changes?????" (oh yeah, led taillights)...
Go figure.
