I think the red will look good. If they would have had red last year, I'd be driving a red 550.

You're not the only one who finds the "MY" nomenclature laughable.

I believe they're launching MY2010 next month.

IMHO I do like the Monaco blue - it makes the car look so classy... The new Deep Sea Blue isn't bad either, my dealer has a 523i in that colour. But it still looks a bit 50+ for me.

Barbera Red is a new try for BMW to sell a red E60, so far they haven't been too successful... This premium segment is very conservative, so please keep the residual value in mind - a red E60 won't sell that quick, I think.

Alpine white has grown on me for some years now - An E60 looks really good in it if it's combined with 18" wheels. An E61 in Alpine white is

So, how does Deep Ocean Blue compare with Toledo Blue available on the 7 Series? I have a 535Xi on order in Monaco Blue because my dealer here in Seattle has NOTHING (including color chips) in Deep Ocean Blue to compare it with. Having said that, I agree that Monaco Blue IS a classy color. By 1998 E39 540 (totaled in a January crash) was Biarritz Blue and DOB looks almost the same.

BTW, what's wrong with 50+?????

I must admit I've never seen a white E60 in the UK.

When I ordered my new one in February I was talking colours to the sales guy as he was trying to push Space Grey and I asked what percentage of white ones the dealership shifted. He reckons they had only sold a few and most of them had been stickered up with various advertising decals.

The most popular here I reckon is Titanium and Grey in SE and Titanium and Carbon Black in M Sport. (Swaping my Titanium Silver 530d M Sport for a Carbon Black 530d M Sport on Saturday )

On a different not I remember 'Top Gear' testing a 535d M Sport which was bright red. It looked quite tasty and was also used for the photo shoot and test in 'Diesel Car' magazine.

I dont believe it was ever available as a stock colour though.

No - that was Imola Red - I used to have a 330i M Sport Saloon in that colour.....looked amazing. Would have been an Individual option

I just took delivery in Munich last week of a Monaco Blue with Gray leather interior. I think it's very classy. It does look like black in the dim light of the evening.
