I just noticed that the outside weatherstrip on my rear windshield is cracking. I looks something has taken little nibbles out of the lenght of my weatherstrip. This is pretty bad for a car that is not that old. I do not believe this have cause any water leak yet, but would rather not wait until it's too late. Does anyone have this same issue? Will this be something that my dealership can replace as a faulty part on my e60 under warranty?

thank all.....sharing is caring

It shouldn't crack. At least not in this time frame. It might be worthwile to pay a visit to your friendly dealer.

Do US e60s get older than MY2004?

MY2004 was the first year for the E60 in the U.S.

You lost me there buddy.

My car is nearing 3 years old as an MY04. There should not be any cracking in my weatherstrip this early. My wife's Nissan is 7 years old and the weatherstrip has not faded, cracked, chipped or anything. It looks like someone else has this same issue from the above post, maybe it's a defect for this model year.
