Oh ok. My bad. I was always under the other impression. Sorry about that!

Save the 20K. You have the 650 and still have enough for a 2000-2002 M5 in super shape! No brainer. There's one in my garage in Manhattan that is a creampuff w/ 46K miles.

i think I can, parts and cars are super expensive in Costa Rica but expert labor?, thats cheap. And parts I would import from Europe or US, so maintaneance is not so bad. I can certainly afford mechanical upkeeping, plus, I would be driving pretty short distances, nothing major, so gas is a non issue too.

Aside from my personal preference, which would definitely be the M5, my brother had an '07 650 and he sold it in four months. He is a bigger guy, so the room sucked for him, but he also was not happy with the performance either. I think with the M5 you get the best of the universe... Sports car performance with some room when it's not just you in the car... Anyway, good luck!

Don't get me wrong, the 4.8L V8 is a great engine with lots of low end torque and a beautifully flat power curve. It is powerful at all RPMs. But when you drive one at wide open thottle and watch a M5 at WOT fly by you like you weren't even moving, you realize just how much in a different performance league the M5 is.

I got u, its cool, I was just explaining how I would keep costs down at maximum, with cheap pro labor and imported parts, I think I can afford it with no problems.

I love my 550 but the 550 and the 650 are just not in the same league as the M5. If you can afford the M5 and its gas bill, it's a no brainer. You only live once.
