I am planning a update of my Business nav to Pro..
My local used dealer has to CCC models to choose from. 65-83-6-953-773 from 01-05 and 65-83-9-138-436 from 10-06.. The newer are less expensive but can I use it my car from 05-04?
Can anyone help me? I have search but without success!

Hi
Yes, you can use a 10-06 in your 05-04 E60/61 , so long it's not a LCI-model CCC ( the one with the 8 direct change bottons underneath the CD slot ) , remember you will also have to change your I-Drive wheel to the type HIGH , and the screen to a 8.8" instead of the 6.5" you got now , if you want the voice-control also a new mic. have to be mounted , be awear that without voice-control , you will not be able to use voice commands to your telefon after mounting the CCC , due to the fact , that the CCC takes over the voice-commands to the telefon also , at this moment ( if you got telefon/Bluetooth ) it's the ULF/TCU that handles the voice-commands.
But you will have to get the CCC programed in/to your car in order to get all functions to work properly ! , it's not just "plug & play" on the long "run".
Be awear , that your car also have to have the Klima-automatic ( Klima HIGH ) , not just Air-con , in order to mount the CCC ( Navigation Professionel ) , if you also want the Voice-control , you will have to buy a "voice-code" from BMW at a price of about 2-2.500.-dkr + tax + coding.
I can recommend BMW dealer : Arne Poulsen , Herning , if you live in that part of Denmark

you don`t have to have the advanced AC to have nav pro just the facia with out the storage at the bottom, there are many e60`s with nav pro and the normal AC controls

Thanks. Bought the CCC and found the High controller on ebay. Do you know what the "voice-code" set consist of? Is it not only a microphone and cable?

Hi The voice-code ist the software-code that enable the voice function in the CCC , and it "hooks" up with your cars WIN no. so once coded it stays,( also if you change CCC later one ) and yes ,you will also have to buy the cabel and mic. also , the parts do not cost much , aprox. 30-40.-Euro's.

My VIN code brings up the option code "8SA - Country spec. release of Navigation", even though I don't have navigation.
Does this mean the vehicle is already coded for pro nav inclusion. ie. plug and play. I can confirm the unit I have purchased, is from a 1005 car and my car is also a 2005 car, so I'm guessing the coding/version would fit in without issue.
Or does it have to do with other elements like VIN recognition etc.
Cheers
