My Ride: 2006 BMW 525ix (N52 Engine)
Hey guys!
Im barely around this website. The reason? Well I sold my E60 in August of 2017. Since my last post here, I finished college, got a big boy job and decided to upgrade to another car. It actually took me a full year to decide on a car (mainly because I started to look while I was still in school and well I was hoping to get a good job right off the bat). Basically after graduation and completing my internship, I looked for around a month a got a job. So I started to save.
Like my last post said, I was debating on mods on the E60, I wanted something more "sporty" and be able to make more power. Once I decided to sell my E60 i was looking at E92s (335i, 335is, M3s) and possibly another E60, but with the N54 motor (535i). I also looked at F10s (550i, 535i). When I was nearing my 1 year anniversary at work I was ready to buy a car. I worked my butt off (lots of overtime) and I got a few raises and promotions. Also mean while I purchased my dads 1991 850 project car than now (almost 3 years later) is 90% completed and finally runs and drives.
At this point in time, I was debating between a 435 or a E92 M3, or I jump into something thats not a BMW. In the end, I went with a Melbourne red 435i xDrive with the msport package and a bunch of other goodies. The car is a blast to drive. My E60 went to another BMW enthusiast who ran a shop that specialized in german cars. So it went to a good home.
I do miss the comfort and the space of my E60 but the fun I have in the 435 and my 850 just over takes that. The 850 is lowered so if i drive it around for a day or two, my 435 feels like a 5 series lol, and it feels like a rocket. For those who are running with a N52 engine, trust me the N55 is the way to go next.
Also I got a few updates on this thread (as i subscribed long ago), saw the last post and I felt like I needed to respond hahaha
