Thanks for the help. I pulled the CCC out last night and left it unplugged for 1 hour to let it reset. No go. Still stuck at that address. Took it to a guy that repairs BMW navs, and he said he can fix it for sure but he wants $400. Im guessing you are right about it being one of the modules in the NAV. The only question is, which one!

These are the type of problems that I dread having with my '05 545. But none to date. I find it interesting that this problem occured when you changed the battery. When I replaced my original battery, I connected another 12v battery across the jumper terminals under the hood (IN PARALLEL), to maintain 12v to the car. This way I wouldn't lose any settings. It worked fine. I wonder whether the shop who did your car did the same thing?
Some members here have noted that the system must be reset when you change the battery, or the charging rate will be wrong and shorten the battery life. FWIW, my $95 Autozone battery has been working fine for 2 years, so I consider myself to be well ahead of the game vs. going to the dealer.
So what do you need to do to resolve the identified problem?

Well you are lucky then. Not registering your battery can cause all kinds of hell on these cars. The battery you installed must have been a close match to your old one. And your old one must not have been too bad when it was replaced. My car went through a brand new AGM battery and a brand new non AGM bettery in less than a year. Both were BMW batts! I replaced the IBS sensor and the battery, had it properly registered and had the active steering angles reinitialized by the dealer and now my car acts normal. Before I would get 5 error msgs every time I started my car in the morning.

Happy to say that replacing the HIP module in the CCC cured the problem instantly. No coding or programing was required and it was very easy to replace.

I think retail was $298. But there is a local discount oem auto parts store that gave it to me for $255.
