2006 530i overheating!

Have you checked the actual operating temp of the engine when you get the code? It may be throwing the code without actually overheating.

yeah i used my obd2 scanner and deleted the code and now the car isnt throwing any code but the car is still saying "engine to hot drive moderate blah blah blah..fuck im soo effen suck here guys.. i did a coolant bleed and still no good --> heres a link if anyone wants to bleed their system http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum.../t-709073.html

There are two sensors for the cooling system:

A temperature sensor at the radiator outlet
A temperature sensor located at the thermostat

Try going here to review the wiring diagram which may shed some light on the operation of the system.

Okay i found out it was a the expansion tank.. i used my cousin tank and it stopped overheating and the coolant bleeding process is super messy!1st- i took off the cap for the tank and turned on my car until the water overflow out once it over flow wait 2 secong and then turn off the car.. repeat the process and keep topping off the tank..
