I had BMW buy back my first 545 SMG. The buy-back transaction went very smooth.

I too would like to know more about the CA Lemon Law. I've been painfully dealing with my local BMW dealer service center (car in the service center for at least 2 months total) with no immediate resolution. This morning, my E60 freaked out again with 1) 'Service Engin Soon' warning light (won't go away!) 2) 'Dynamic Drive Malfunction' warning message, 3)IDrive rebooting while driving (not the first time!), 4) 'Increased Emissions' warning message, 5) Entired dash board lights blinking, and 6) Dashboard needles eratically moves by themselves...
I've captured all the noted items above with my camera cell phone (still and video clips!)

I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. I've passed this message on to a BMW NA Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.
Have you looked at the recent posts regarding BMW Assist? The issues that MATRIX (2 separate posts) has been having concerns me. Now that 4 years of BMW assist are included in the purchase price of the MY07 5 series, I would hope that the service here improves. Again, I am not sure if MATRIX's is an isolated instance but GM is actually selling their cars with Onstar, and I would expect BMW assist to be much better. To me this is a system that your customer may only use once or twice, but when used it is imperative that it works smoothly. BMW assist reflects so much on BMW quality that when you hear someone say that a tow truck couldn't find them and the Assist attendant couldn't locate their car using GPS it sort of puts a huge cloud over this service. Please follow up on this issue so that the members here can know that if the time comes that they can rely on the service of BMW Assist.
Thank You....
