2006 525i lemon
#1
Has anyone used the California Lemon Law to get a new car or their money Back? We have a 2006 525i which has been in the shop to fix a alignment problem and a fish tailing feeling while driving at freeway speed for the fourth time with no hope of them getting it right. Any information would be helpfull...Thanks

I too would like to know more about the CA Lemon Law. I've been painfully dealing with my local BMW dealer service center (car in the service center for at least 2 months total) with no immediate resolution. This morning, my E60 freaked out again with 1) 'Service Engin Soon' warning light (won't go away!) 2) 'Dynamic Drive Malfunction' warning message, 3)IDrive rebooting while driving (not the first time!), 4) 'Increased Emissions' warning message, 5) Entired dash board lights blinking, and 6) Dashboard needles eratically moves by themselves... I've captured all the noted items above with my camera cell phone (still and video clips!)

Here is the ca lemon Law web site. http://www.lemonlawcalifornia.com/ca...-lemon-law.htm
Good luck, I have called and open a case and I am waiting to here back from them. I have also found some lemon Law lawyers online that deal with calfornia cars.

You should have a talk with your service guy and his manager and sort things out.
I had the same situation more or less (not as near as bad as you describe it...) and my dealership took care of it internally (I guess they got an authorization from BMW to replace my car) without unnecessary aggravation or going through the process of filing for the lemon law.
They have the ability to do it if they want to.
Good Luck !
