I've done CDVs on 30-40 E39s but I hear the E60s require some underbody panels removed and so it isn't as quick as an E39.

Yes, they do require the underbody panels to be removed. They also have to wait for some cool down as I think its very close to the exhaust manifold. Additionally the bleed time is required.
