2004 530i dead M-ASK radio troubleshooting
My M-ASK and iDrive died some years ago and having some time on my hands, I've started to look into fixing it.
I checked the MPM module in the trunk and there is no obvious damage to the circuit board or water damage to the wires.
Also pulled out the radio and although I didn't open it, there is no clear damage to the wires or connections. The 15A fuse in the back of the radio is not broken, and fuse #34 and #38 in the glove box are OK too.
Is there any troubleshooting I can do to narrow down the problem to the MPM module or the MASK unit itself?
Symptoms: iDrive screen is dead (black) door chimes, radio and all car audio that comes through the speakers is dead, the CD player doesnt take CDs
I pulled these error codes from INPA but none of them seem to have anything to do with the MASK radio AFAIK.

I loaded up NCSExpert and it found both the MPM and MASK ECUs. What's interesting is the MPM ECU can be read and the related file with the codes will open in Notepad. Trying to read the MASK ECU, it crashes with the error below.
